Papyrus is definitely not a human, what with the opening his skull to reveal his head is filled with sphagetti and how he can still talk when his head is cut off, and how his body turns to dust. Same as how Papyrus has eyes that can pop out and how his eyes can sting when he gets lime juice in them when he mistakes the cucumber slice treatments in movies as lime slices. Undertale science: it’s just for the anime/kawaii thing, Alphys scales would mean blushing from blood would not be visible on her, and tsundereplane doesn’t even have real cheeks and she blushes too. Maybe it was just a cute little thing, but… Toby has a reason for even some of the smallest details. Or is it possible Sans and Papyrus are BOTH humans? I subscribe to theory one, but, what do you think? Because, Papyrus has never seen the sun, so anything could be possible. The color of blush would be determined by your blood color, due to the blood vessels, so, is it just a normal thing… undertale sans trailer submissionĮveryone was so shocked when Sans’s battle sprite bled because OH MY GOD IT’S RED! HE MUST BE A HUMAN! But… Papyrus’s sprite also showed red on his cheeks when you date/hangout with him. The other whole problem if sans is a skeleton, and its just ketchup, how does it come out the mouth if he doesn’t have a throat? Toby isn’t lazy with the sprites, theres a reason the mouth never “closes” or “opens” or changes from his grin other than from perspective changes. I’ve played the demo, and watched this trailer, but I don’t see the mouth closing in this though? Sans only shows up in one part and looks normal to me. a lot can change during developement, I wouldn’t doubt the Gaster and Sans’s past was added after the main storyline was completed due to priorities. Same goes for the old trailer/video with Sans on a lawn chair, drinking something, and having it flow through him and leak out underneath him. Undertale Science: That was back when it was still being worked on, and uses sprites never actually added to the game, like when Toriel turns around and looks shocked at Papyrus while holding Frisk’s hand, theres no sprite of her with her face and eyes like that. ![]() Have you seen this? It was surprisingly hard to find, but it DOES show that sans can close his mouth and that he’s probably a real skeleton. Undertale papyrus monsters eyes submission Papyrus: I JUST WANT TO HAVE HANDSOME, BISHONEN EYES. Undyne: Gross!! Why did you even do that!? BUT IT WASN’T WORKING! SO I JUST STUCK MORE LIMES INTO MY EYES. Papyrus: I THOUGHT IT WAS SUPPOSED TO BE REJUVENATING. Undyne: Oh my god! Those aren’t LIMES! Those are CUCUMBERS! I PUT THE LIME SLICES IN MY EYES, LIKE ON TV. Papyrus: WELL, ONE TIME I WAS GIVING MYSELF THE SPA TREATMENT. Undyne: What!? Limes rule!! I eat them whole all the time!! We also know his eyes aren’t just for show, they are sensitive to acid. his skull is somehow prioritized, maybe that is where his soul is, inside of his skull. ![]() When killed, his head falls off, his body turns to dust, and then his head turns to dust. he is magic controlling and modifying the form of a real human skeleton to make it fit his essence with eyes and mouth being formed and head together with magic, or perhaps he is just a monster in a general shape and form of a skeleton. Our eyes are usually one of the first things to go, and with no muscle or brain they would just fall out of the sockets. real human jaw bones and skulls cannot bend to smile and lack lips and cheeks to cover the back molars. without ligaments and other tissue a skeleton would fall apart, they don’t actually all pop together like Bioncle pieces. dried skeletons actually degrade quickly when moved about and subjected to forces, they get brittle when dried out. Papyrus is not actually a living skeleton, he is a monster in the form of and body like a skeleton, held together and formed from magic. with no tendons and muscles and ligaments, Papyrus would not be able to move at all. Papyrus is a skeleton monster, not an actual skeleton. If you’re looking at Undertale through a scientific perspective how would you explain the fact that Papyrus (being a skeleton) can do this?
